Les Carmes Cultural Centre, Langon
The cultural centre that has a long history and wonderful theatre setting
Originally built as a Carmelite convent during the second half of the 13th century.
Restorations and renovations took place through the centuries and eventually in 1868 it was purchased by the town council and opened as a school. With the school's relocation to new premises, the building then became the cultural centre that survives there today.
With many different events and activities taking place it really is a community hub for the town of Langon. The theatre hosts theatrical and musical performances, as well as comedy, popular music, childrens shows and workshops.
The building also hosts art exhibitions, craft and cultural days and numerous other day and weekend festivities.
